Council
Programs
The
Girl Scout program is designed to help girls develop their own potential,
relate to others, use values in decision making, and contribute to society.
It's also a lot of fun! Activities are planned by individual troops, local
Service Units, or councilwide events committees.
The council trains leaders in using Girl Scout program materials with troops at
each age level. Leaders also receive a "Program & Training
Opportunities" handbook listing councilwide events for the current
membership year. Activities range from camping to arts, engineering, and
international understanding.
Information about Service Unit events and new program opportunities is provided
at the monthly Service Unit meetings. Contact the council office for
information about when your Service Unit meets, and who to contact in the
future if you have questions.
